2026.10.03 & 2026.10.17 · De Uithof (Den Haag) · Suitable level: no experience needed · covers SNB1-SNB4
Dates
Saturday 3 October and Saturday 17 October 2026 — 2 lessons in total, each running 10:00 – 13:30.
Group size and grouping
The course runs from 3 participants, up to 20 in total, and no more than 5 students per instructor. If that minimum is not reached, you can choose a full refund or move to the next available session. As more people sign up we add instructors and split further at that same ratio — nobody ends up in a group of fifteen.
At the start of every lesson we regroup by where people actually are that day: the faster group keeps moving forward, the other group gets the time to make the basics solid, and neither has to wait for the other.
Each lesson includes
1. 3 hours of instruction
2. 0.5 hour of video analysis
3. Free practice
How we teach (the same standard as our private lessons)
In the lesson — coaching plus video feedback: we film your riding and play it back on the spot, so you can see the gap between what you think you are doing and what you actually do.
After the lesson — digital progress tracking: your coach logs the skills you unlocked that session, along with written feedback, into your SnowNavi account. Log in to the member centre and you will find the skill checklist broken down by stage (gear and one-foot sliding → side-slipping and falling leaf → turning → linked edge changes), how many skills each session added, your running total, and a timeline of the whole progression. You can rate your instructor there too.
Why we leave a week between the two lessons
Being able to do a movement in the lesson is not the same as owning it. Riding is a physical skill: it only becomes yours once you have repeated it enough.
So we deliberately leave a week between the two lessons — that week is not a gap, it is part of the course.
What your instructor gives you in the lesson is direction and correction. What actually makes a movement stick is the time you spend on the slope alone, running it again and again at your own pace. You need that time to find your own rhythm, to understand why each movement works, and to ride it until you no longer have to think about it.
Come to the second lesson having practised, and your instructor can build on something solid.
This is also why the fee includes a De Uithof monthly pass with equipment: go as often as you like that week, with no ticket or rental to pay for.
Chinese instruction
Instructors: okboy (BASI Level 2 / CASI Level 2), Xiao Ning (CASI Level 2), Jesse (CASI Level 1), Steven (Dutch NSkiV Level 2)
Fee includes
1. Instruction and video analysis
2. A De Uithof monthly pass including equipment — not a day ticket for the two lesson days, but a full monthly pass with snowboard rental.
Fee does not include
Transportation, meals, insurance, etc.
Transfers and refunds
Once you have signed up your place can be transferred to someone else, but it cannot be refunded.

Why train now
Heading up to the mountains this season? Then this is the course for you.
Get your edge changes and speed control solid on the indoor slope, and your first day up there starts on real pistes, exploring: pick whichever run you like, ride it start to finish with your friends, stop where the view is worth stopping for. The whole mountain is under your feet.
Dates
Saturday 3 October or Saturday 17 October 2026, 14:30 – 16:30 — a single two-hour lesson.
The two dates run independently: pick the one that suits you, or book both if you want the extra session — every lesson is grouped afresh by level that day, so a second booking is not a repeat of the first.
Entry requirements
This is an improvers' course. Before signing up, check that you can already:
1. Ride the button lift on your own
2. Hold a steady falling leaf all the way across the slope, from one side to the other
3. Have at least attempted a C-turn in one direction
How we group you: regrouped every lesson
Once you have signed up we will ask you for a recent video of your riding, which we use for an initial grouping.
Every lesson opens with a short technique assessment, and the groups are set from how you are riding that day — we never carry a previous list over.
That keeps everyone in a group that matches their own level: the faster riders keep moving forward, the ones who need more mileage get the time to make the basics solid, and neither has to wait for the other.
What the course focuses on
1. Edge-to-edge transition — from managing an edge change to smooth, continuous linked turns
2. Edging and carving — build the fundamentals of edge control and start to experience carving
3. Speed control on steeper terrain — stay safe as the slope gets steeper
4. Mountain readiness — build confidence and judgement in a real mountain environment
Throughout the course your instructor tailors exercises and feedback to your own level and movement patterns.
